National Science week

For national science week Rowan class made a phases of the moon disc, fingerprints and bridge building.

Rowan Class also investigated making fingerprints. We tested flour, talcum powder and graphite from pencils to try and decide which the best at taking fingerprints was:

'For me the best at taking fingerprints was a pencil graphite because when we transferred it onto paper we could easily compare our right and left thumbprints.' - Year 6 pupil

In the afternoon we collaborated in small groups to research bridge designs and then tried to design the strongest bridge. Our bridges needed to be at least 30xm long and only be constructed of 8 sheets of A3 paper and 1m of cellotape.

Well done to the team who came first place!
