Thank you for visiting our website. We hope the information available here will be useful to existing parents and carers, and to those who are looking to bring their children to St Edmunds Primary School and Nursery.

As part of Science Week, Beech Class went on a trip to BT Adastral Park to take part in their science day. While we were there, we worked on our programming skills when using Microbits, used our knowledge of circuits with Crumble Kits, improved our debugging skills with Edison Robots and explored what technology can do for us in the world while exploring the showcase. All the children showed real enthusiasm for learning and true resilience when things didn't work first time, just like a real scientist should!

Congratulations to our World Book Day Winners! Each winner and runner up from our costume competition has received a book of their choosing. What a brilliant turnout for costumes we had on the day.

Do you have a child who is 3 years old or turning 3 this year? Are you looking for a nursery place? Would you like to come and see our setting, to see if we are right for your child? We welcome you to come along to our Stay and Play session and see what we get up to. If you are unable to make this date but would like to view our nursery, then please get in touch. We offer private and funded places for children aged 3 and above and hours can be used for mornings, afternoons or full day sessions from 8:30am -3:15pm, during term time. We are a small setting, with a large outdoor provision and offer weekly Outdoor Learning sessions run by a trained Forest School Leader. Contact Mrs Frearson on 01379 668283 or email office.stedmunds@consortiumtrust.org.uk to book a place or arrange a viewing. Spaces available in other year groups also.

Look at some of the artwork Oak class have created! Each pupil has been creative and made their own version of a Jackson Pollock piece and have had great fun researching the artist and his style of work.

Happy mother's day Our HPTA had some wonderful support for the mother's day boxes and raised over £100. Thank you to everyone who ordered and we hope all our families have a lovely weekend

Wow what a brilliant day we had to celebrate #WorldBookDay! The children showed off their amazing costumes and we had a a wonderful turnout of parents joining in with our reading session too. Thank you for celebrating this event with us.

Kick Starting St Edmunds World Book Week with some peer reading across the school. Today Acorn and Oak class read stories together and Beech and Rowan class teamed up to share some of their reading. #WorldBookDay #worldbookweek #reading #school

As pat of our writing unit on Instructions in Oak class, we have been reading and discussing the effectiveness of a set of instructions to make a jam sandwich. We followed the instructions to make our own sandwich and whilst tucking in we thought about our own writing toolbox!

What a great end of term children had dressing in pink or red and raising money for our HPTA! Thank you to everyone who made and bought cakes, the money raised will go towards exciting things for pupils in school
