Pupils from across the Consortium Trust met at Southwold Primary school yesterday, led by Sam Norfolk (Science Lead), to celebrate the final of the 'Gears. levers and pulleys' physics competition. It showcased some of the most talented and enthusiastic physics students from across the trust, and their shared passion for scientific discovery. The finalists were chosen from each school with Arthur's entry being picked for St Edmunds. Mrs Thomas (Director of Primary Education) judged the final which was a difficult decision! Congratulations to the winner of the competition, Charlie from Winterton Primary school. Everyone who entered should be extremely proud of their efforts and contribution

We have been fortunate enough to have the opportunity to get extra active in school! The Pedal Bike Challenge is an Active Suffolk led campaign to encourage and provide the opportunity for schools to create active learning and classrooms. The challenge gives schools the option to take part in a friendly competition that involves a whole class working as a team to pedal the distance of a mile using under desk pedal bikes during lessons. Rowan class in particular have had great fun whilst being active and have been pedalling like mad!

This week all of Waveney Valley Partnership enjoyed a visit James Campbell. Each class took part in a workshop with the author and there was non-stop laughter throughout the day. James shared with the children his experience of being a writer and some behind the scenes knowledge of how he created his fabulous books. None of this would have been possible without the support of our wonderful FOMSA and HPTA who contributed towards the cost of the visit. Thank you, you have inspired a future generation of authors.

What a fantastic time children have had on the Residential this week in Beech class, taking part in lots of activities over the last 3 day. I am sure they will be excited to share this with friends and families and hopefully get some much needed rest over the weekend!

Great finish for the day, raft building and jumping in the river! Great fun had by all.

Pupils have taken part in a 'nightline', each child had to wear a blindfold and lead each other along the course. Everyone has worked collaboratively to get to the finish line - well done everyone!

Wow what a way to start the day! Beech class have been testing their climbing skills and showed great determination to get to the top before abseiling down.

The children all had a good night and having breakfast ready for another exciting day.

All fed and settled, watching a film before bed. Next update tomorrow.
