Thank you for visiting our website. We hope the information available here will be useful to existing parents and carers, and to those who are looking to bring their children to St Edmunds Primary School and Nursery.

Thank you to everyone who managed to join us for our Harvest Festival. The children were truly amazing and impressed us all with their singing and readings. We would also like to say a big thank you to the church for hosting us, it is fantastic to end a half term in the church with members of our community. #community #church #harvest #HarvestCelebration #school

We are truly developing our love of reading in Beech class. This half term we have enjoyed books such as The Incredible Book Eating Boy, Cloud Busting, The Tunnel and George's Marvelous Medicine, as well as spending time reading for pleasure and reading to adults in school. Furthermore, we regularly enjoy sessions in our fantastic school library and have plans in place to visit Harleston library sometime after half term. All children in Beech show a true love of reading and it is always wonderful to be a part of their animated and enthusiastic discussions. #lovetoread #loveofreading #reading #school #library #books

As part of our Harvest Celebrations we asked for donations from families to give to our local food bank. Pupils from the school will take these to the warehouse next term to be put with other items donated across the country for families in need. As a school we are able to issue a food bank voucher to families (not just our parents within the school) and if you would like one please email office.stedmunds@consortiumtrust.org.uk Visit the website for ways to support or request help: https://waveney.foodbank.org.uk/ #food #foodbank #waveneyfoodbank

Acorns had an end of term surprise with 2 small kittens in their class! All the children loved interacting with the little kittens and took it in turns to have a stroke. #school #eyfs #learningisfun #LearningThroughPlay #animals #kitten

Here is a sneak preview of the NEW Waveney Valley Partnership Schools sporting kit which pupils will wear whilst competing at the various events we have committed to throughout the academic year working with the Sports partnership.

A huge congratulations to everyone who took part in the Cross Country event this week. It was a long and difficult course but you were all so amazing. We are incredibly proud of you all. There were hundreds of children attending this event and it was wonderful to have the opportunity to represent our two schools at such a big event.

Our Junior Road Safety Officers Cleo and Maisie organised a be bright be seen day at school to help raise awareness of staying safe whilst outside in the dark. They created a poster, gave a presentation in assembly and have asked pupils to take part in a competition. Well done to all out pupils who came to school dressed in colourful clothes today. #school #education #safety #roadsafety #bebrightbeseen #bebright #colours #colourful
