Last week Nature Explorers got creative. They used pieces of nature to build a group woodland, thinking about all the parts that make up a tree. In forest free time the children created in the mud kitchen, made nature mobiles, and worked on various bug homes in bug land. #outdoors #outdoorlearning #school #schoollife #education

One of our recent newsletters from the classes showing how each year group expand their science knowledge and work collaboratively to expand their learning.

On Thursday Acorn class were joined by Seedlings class to enjoy a day celebrating colours. We read the story 'Elmer' together and the children then made their own wonderful elephants from milk bottles and tissue paper. They then used their gross motor skills to mix coloured powder paint and soapy water outside on the playground with mops. Our day ended with Donna from Drama tots taking us on a wonderful adventure to colour land. It was fantastic to see all the children listening so well and joining in dancing and singing together. #school #eyfs #colours #drama #learning #learningthroughplay

Please have a look at some of our whole school events - Christmas time is always very festive!

Beech and Juniper came together once more, for a fascinating science field trip to Thetford Forest. We have been learning all about habitats this term and this trip gave us the opportunity to apply our knowledge to a real-life situation. The children were so excited to find the living organisms and share their findings with each other. #school #learning #outdoorlearning #science

The children have made a great start to their Outdoor Learning adventure. This half term the children are focusing on Flora. Their activities have been based around finding out what flora is, using flora to create pictures in different ways, to make and provide an information booklet about types of flora and investigating about the structures of woodlands. The mud kitchen has been a huge success, with some very interesting "cakes" and "drinks"! The children have helped with developing the site, making areas where activities can be carried out such as den building and making homes for insects. #outdoor #outdoorlearning #school #schoollife #learning #LearningThroughPlay
